How to Water Plants & Trees

Trees and plants require different quantities of water. Here are a few tips to consider when watering:

  • What’s Good For Trees: Because trees have much deeper roots you’ll water them longer and at a slower rate. Avoid directly watering the trunk as it could promote rot. Adding mulch to the base of your trees will keep weeds at bay and better store water.
  • What’s Good For Plants: Water plants at the base until the ground absorbs no more water. Remember to water sparingly, mimicking Mother Nature’s wet and dry spells.
